Important to know

What is a webinar tour?
Due to the lockdown in Nepal, it is not possible to visit the national park during this tour. Therefore we chose to offer a webinar tour. The host will tell and explain more about the national park through photos and videos. You can ask questions by using the chat during the webinar.
What do I need to join this tour?
To join this virtual tour you need a computer, tablet or mobile with a stable internet connection. For this webinar tour we use Zoom. Zoom is an online platform for meetings. If you use your computer, you do not need to download or install software. If you use a tablet or phone, you need to download the app. You can test Zoom here: https://zoom.us/test.
In what time zone are the virtual tours conducted?
The starting time of the virtual tour is mentioned in GMT+1 (or GMT +2 in summer). Amsterdam time.
Can I tip the host?
At the moment it is not possible to leave a tip for the host yet. The prices of the virtual tours are based on regular income for Nepalese guides. In the future it will be possible to tip the host if you are happy about the service.
Can I also book a private tour?
Of course that is possible. It is a great experience to attend this tour with only your friends, family or colleagues. Contact us by mail or chat to schedule a date and time.
Can I reschedule or cancel my reservation?
Until 48 hours before the start of the virtual tour, it is possible to reschedule your booking. To reschedule your booking, you can contact us by mail. If you choose to cancel the booking more than 7 days before the original date of the virtual tour, you will receive a credit voucher for the full value of your payment. If you choose to cancel the booking less than 7 days before the original date of the virtual tour, you will not receive a refund.
Are virtual tours also weather dependent?
The month of June is the time that every farmer is plowing the field with his oxes and that many ladies go together into the fields to plant the rice. Because this is a live tour outside, every tour takes place at a different spot. If the weather forecast predicts rain, we will have to cancel and rebook the program. Take into account that the data connection in Nepal are vulnerable and sometimes the connection can get lost.

Virtual tour with tigers

Of course you can’t compare á virtual tour with a real one, but it’s realy the second best! Especially when you’ve been there and know how beautiful it is looking around in Bardia (even when missing the tigers:-) it is a very nice and educational tour. Thanks a lot. It brought back the memories of Bardia and gives new and important information about the tigers in Nepal. Thanks again!

Inspiring interactive experience.

Although I was in the Bardia jungle in reality I never saw a real tiger. But guide Manmohan made me feel like I was there and answered my questions in a satisfying way. Also the quiz/questions were a good addition because it made me think about how serious the protection of tigers is taken in Nepal. I sincerely hope to spot a tiger in the near future and many other tourist will do the same to make Bardia and Nepal as joyful for tourists like before.

A very enjoyable (virtual) tour with tigers

The online class is very enjoyable. It has just the right balance between some practical and general information on tigers and Nepal. The highlights are the video's showing the spotted tigers. It felt as a near-live experience even. Well done and therefore highly recommended! The tour guide did a good jib.
